The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J. Cleary rode Cactus Tree (reserve), trained by M.C. Grassick (Race 3)
S. Foley rode Knocknakilla (reserve), trained by Gerard O'Leary (Race 5)
S. Foley replaced S.M. Crosse on Cycladic, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 6)(intended mount a non runner)
C.T. Keane replaced G.F. Carroll on Yaxeni (FR), trained by G.M. Lyons (Race 6)(intended mount a non runner)

174A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer examined Roman Moon, trained by Kevin Prendergast, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Who Not What (GB) trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left off the bends.

174C Guinness Apprentice H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Princess Sela trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump leaving the stalls and then ran off the first bend.

J. Coen, rider of Cleveleys (GB) trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up when the gates opened.

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Dutch Schaefer (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr Hogan reported that his charge benefitted from the return to soft ground and this in his opinion brought about the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

174D Dermot Hughes Car Sales H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Ghasham trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received contact from the inside at the first bend.

S. Foley, rider of Dark Vega trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

The Stewards reviewed an incident at the first bend where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer examined Elmos Fire, trained by Andrew Kinirons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

174F Lenebane Stakes

The Stewards interviewed C.T. Keane, rider of Yaxeni (FR), concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.T. Keane was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Anchorage trained by A.P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right.

W.M. Lordan, rider of The Algarve (USA) trained by A.P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Cycladic, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that her charge scoped dirty post race.
