The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S. M. Crosse rode Heart Of Gold (GB) (reserve) , trained by R. K. Watson (Race 4)
S. Foley replaced R.P. Whelan on Som Nam Naa, trained by Paul W. Flynn (Race 2)(Stewards permission)

144A Roscommon Claiming M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, D. O'Brien, rider of Royal Court, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat throughout this race.

An Authorised representative of G.M.Lyons, trainer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that their charge Wartime Hero (GB) finished lame.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Wartime Hero (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

144B Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction M'dn

B.M. Coen, rider of Voice Of Hope trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his hind legs turning into the straight.

144C1 Ladies Day Mon 8th July Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident about 150 yards from the finish involving Here In The Dark (GB), ridden by D.E. Sheehy, unplaced and Fair Game, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third, where it appeared that Here In The Dark (GB) checked when being passed by Fair Game. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised G.M. Ryan to ride with more care.

M.Halford, trainer of Kodianne, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.

144C2 Ladies Day Mon 8th July Apprentice H'cap

R. Coakley, rider of Kudbegood, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran around in the closing stages.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Burren View Lady trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final one and a half furlongs involving Kudbegood, ridden by R. Coakley, placed second and Taceec, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed third, where it appeared that Kudbegood caused interference when making an outward manoeuvre. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings. They did, however, consider that R. Coakley had caused interference by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R. Coakley for 1 raceday.

144D Sherry Fitzgerald P.Burke Auct'neers Mdn

S. Foley, rider of Formal Order (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported at the Stewards' enquiry that his mount hung right in the straight.

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Formal Order (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned which included a comment that his mount had hung right when under pressure which in his opinion had cost him the race. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that the first two hits were for corrective purposes therefore the remaining number of hits did not breach R10 and took no further action. In relation to his comment that his mount had hung, the Stewards reminded S. Foley of his responsibility to comply with Rule 213 by reporting at first instance anything that may have affected the running of his horse.

144E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Stormy Tale, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned G.F. Carroll on this occasion.

144F Peggy Guerin Memorial H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bar Room Bore, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

T.P. Madden, rider of Bar Room Bore trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

The Stewards requested a report from Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Heavenly Snow, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Ms. Sheila Lavery reported that her charge did not handle the good to yielding going at Leopardstown on her most recent run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

144G Roscommon Racecourse H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, A.J. Slattery, rider of Yo Tambien (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.
