The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Louise G. Lyons, trainer of Scalino (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.C. Gainford replaced J.M. Moore on Victory Star (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 3)(stood down)
T.N. Brett rode Sean Og (reserve), trained by Ms Margaret Mullins (Race 4)

358A William Hill Ireland Rated Novice Schase

The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer examined Get My Drift (FR), trained by M.F. Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

M.F. Morris, trainer of Get My Drift (FR), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have scoped wrong post race.

358B William Hill Pick Your Places H'cap S'ch

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Laughing Trix trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and was eventually pulled up.

The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Any Day Now trained by Edward Cawley had blood at both nostrils post race.

The Stewards requested a report from Patrick Rooney, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Highstreetfashion, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Patrick Rooney stated that the more favourable ground conditions today suited his charge and this in his opinion may have contributed to the apparent improved performance. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

358C(i) William Hill Play Responsibly M'dn H'dle (Division One)

D.E. Mullins, rider of King Arthurs Sword trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keenly throughout.

D.N. Russell, rider of Stuzzikini trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left throughout.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last involving Nucky Johnson, ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed second and The Big Doyen, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.J. Cooper stated he was carried right by The Big Doyen and in his opinion it cost him the winning of the race. K.C. Sexton felt the interference was minimal and that he did not improve his finishing position as a result of the interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that The Big Doyen had caused interference to Nucky Johnson and as a result had improved its finishing position. As a consequence, the Stewards reversed the placings of the first and second placed horses and amended the result to read as follows:

Second: The Big Doyen
Third: Hunters Yarn
Fourth: Clonshire River
Fifth: Sonny May
Sixth: Ellis Boyd Redding

The Stewards took no further action.

358C(ii) William Hill Play Responsibly M'dn H'dle (Division Two)

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Timmy Tuesday trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran out.

R.J. Condon, rider of Infinity Tower trained by N. Dooly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

358D William Hill Epic Value H'dle

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Hiaou (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount almost ran off the track.

358E William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Hcp Hdle

R.A. Doyle, rider of Coolnacritta trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action in front and pulled up.

At the request of the Stewards, S.D. Torrens, rider of The Connector, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stayed on one paced in the closing stages.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.D. Torrens, rider of The Connector, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stayed on one paced in the closing stages.

358F Connolly's RED MILLS EBF Auct. M'dn H'dl

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Byrnes, rider of Green Glory, trained by C. Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out all the way and stayed on one paced past beaten horses in the straight.

358G William Hill Extra Places H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Fogarty, rider of Iridescent, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that M.P. Fogarty was in breach of R10.3(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, they suspended him for 5 racedays.
