The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vyta Du Roc (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at his nostrils post race, possibly as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage. On further examination this gelding was found to be clinically abnormal.
Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Square Ball trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.

Owing to the low lying elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles # 4 & 5 to be omitted from this race.
P. Townend, rider of Enfant Du Mou (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise after jumping the second hurdle.
H. Morgan, rider of Rippon Lodge trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly going to the third last hurdle.

The Stewards requested a report into the fall of Roxboro Road, ridden by L.P. Dempsey on the second last bend. L.P. Dempsey while detained in the Medical Centre, reported to a Stewards Secretary that everything happened very fast but he had a feeling that he may have clipped a heel but did not blame any other rider for the fall. C.P. McNamara, rider of Gwencily Berbas (FR) and C.D. Timmons, rider of Fruits Of Glory, both reported that everything happened so fast and their mounts were unavoidably brought down. Having considered the reports and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards considered the falls to be accidental and did not take any further action
