P.J.Carberry replaced J.J. Slevin on Bellaney Gem, trained by S.R.B. Crawford (Race 2)(stood down).
P.J.Carberry replaced J.J. Slevin on Curious Times, trained by S.R.B. Crawford (Race 3)(stood down).
R. Blackmore replaced P.J. O'Hanlon on Lord Lariat, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin (Race 5)(stood down)

310A Festival 2023 On Sale Now M'dn Hdle

C.A. Landers, rider of Positive Thinker, trained by Michael J. McDonagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that Planet Janet which was racing in front of him slipped up and his own mount was brought down. The Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

310C Punchestown Festival Deals H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the final bend involving Auckland (GER), ridden by D.E. Mullins, Curious Times, ridden by P.J. Carberry, and Esperti, ridden by S.W. Flanagan where it appeared an incident may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S.W.Flanagan stated that a gap appeared on the inner but on meeting the point of the bend, the gap closed. P.J. Carberry stated that his mount drifted off the inner and he was not aware of anybody being on his inside until his mount received contact from behind. D.E. Mullins stated that he kept a straight line and felt a bump from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence,the Stewards took no further action.

310D Buck House Novice S'chase

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Call Me Lyreen trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last fence.

310F New Punchestown.com (Q.R.) H'cap S'chase

The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Temptationinmilan, ridden by Mr R.W. Barron, and Difficult Decision, ridden by Mr J.C. Barry where it appeared interference took place. Mr. J.C. Barry stated that he lost ground at the previous fence and as a result of that he ran out of room approaching the rail on the bend. Mr. R.W. Barron stated that he jumped to the front and felt that there was not enough room for another horse on his inside approaching the rail on the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. R.W Barron, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for eight race days. .
