L.F. Roche, rider of Garsman trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right inside the final furlong.
B.M. Coen, rider of Mogwli trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
284D Troytown Bar & Cafe M'dnThe Stewards fined J.H. Scott, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Amaretto Stone, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Amaretto Stone in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
284E Bective Restaurant Apprentice H'capThe Stewards requested a report from Ross O'Sullivan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Doonard Prince, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge appeared to appreciate the slow ground conditions at this time of year and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
The Stewards interviewed M.P. Sheehy, rider of Doonard Prince, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of Bernard Caldwell, who accompanied M.P. Sheehy. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequeccy) . Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended M.P. Sheehy for 1 raceday.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Pleasant Gesture trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground and she lost her action at the furlong pole.
284F Kilberry Restaurant H'capL.F. Roche, rider of Aurora Eclipse trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Royal Canford, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
284G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capThe Stewards interviewed Dylan Browne McMonagle, rider of Jumellea, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, who accompanied Dylan Browne McMonagle. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence,the Stewards found Dylan Browne McMonagle in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.
The Stewards fined Michael Mulvany, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared head gear to Stormy Tale, prior to entering the parade ring.
