The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for this race to be delayed by +1 minute.

J. Kearney, rider of Mass Gathering trained by J.G. Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost a stirrup on leaving the starting stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Hot Whispers trained by Shane Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls.

James J. Doyle, rider of Boughtinthedark trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up on leaving the starting stalls.

262C P.F. 'Mutt' Conlon Memorial H'cap

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Screen Siren trained by Sarah Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got bumped on leaving the starting stalls.

James J. Doyle, rider of Curraheen Princess, trained by N.Stokes, reported at a Stewards' enquiry that his mount jumped right out of the starting stalls

The Stewards enquired into an incident on leaving the starting stalls before reaching the marker poles involving Sablonne (GB), ridden by S. Foley, Blind Beggar, ridden by C.T. Keane, Curraheen Princess, ridden by James J. Doyle, Iva Batt, ridden by W.M. Lordan, and Screen Siren, ridden by M.P. Sheehy where it appeared that Iva Batt, Blind Beggar and Screen Siren met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, M.P. Sheehy stated that his mount was bumped from both sides and pushed back. W.M. Lordan stated that his mount jumped slow but got a bump and did not lose any ground. C.T. Keane stated that his mount got tight for room after a few strides. S. Foley stated that his mount jumped a shade slow but had maintained a straight racing line from there. James J. Doyle stated that his mount jumped sideways out of the starting stalls and went right for three strides before being corrected. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action in relation to the incident. The were, however, of the opinion that James J. Doyle was in breach of Rule 211(a) by failing to ride in a straight line to the marker poles from his draw position. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended James J. Doyle for one raceday.

262D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for this race to be delayed by +2 minutes.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finish involving Silmaniya, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, and Polar Bear, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared both horses drifted with possible contact made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S. Foley stated that his mount was leg weary when Silmaniya came to meet his mount but in his opinion he was beaten at that time. B.M. Coen stated that he was holding up his mount when she lugged a little and tired in the last fifty yards on the soft ground. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action

262E Irish EBF Champions Weekend (F) M'dn

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for this race to be delayed by +1 minute.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Tellthemi'mhere trained by P.O'Rourke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls and finished tired.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Musical Rhapsody, ridden by G.F. Carroll, and trained by Gavin Cromwell. Evidence was heard from the trainer and rider concerned. Gavin Cromwell, trainer, stated that he had instructed the rider to jump off and see where she landed, get her to settle and see how she would handle the soft ground but to do his best. He added that his charge had previously won a Barrier Trial at Dundalk, had run well on her racecourse debut at the Curragh (16th July) but disappointed at Gowran Park (10th August). He expressed his satisfaction with her run and the fact that she was staying on today. G.F. Carroll, rider, confirmed the instructions and stated that the filly was drawn wide in stall number nineteen and he left her alone as she jumped slower than expected. He added that he let her find her feet but she never travelled well, got a couple of slaps down the shoulder on the turn into the straight, got more slaps down the shoulder in the straight but plugged on past tired horses in the final stages of this race. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Musical Rhapsody was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.

262F1 Gormanlough Apprentice Hcap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chimeric, trained by J.F. Levins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

262G Jumps At Navan 17th September H'cap

L.F. Roche, rider of A Few Bob Short trained by Shane Ryder, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was eased in the straight when his race was run.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Wish Me trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was eased in the straight when his race was run.
