256A Irish EBF Auction Series (Fillies) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Ciao For Now (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left coming down the hill.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Ciao For Now (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, Go Girl Go, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed second, and Kiki Roberts, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first where it appeared Ciao For Now had to check slightly. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he had to sit for a stride late on but it made no difference to him. L.F. Roche stated felt he kept a straight line throughout. C.T. Keane stated that his filly was always leaning left but felt he kept her as straight as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

256B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Race

P.A. Harnett, rider of Gloucester, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he checked two furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Storm Miami, ridden by J. Kearney, placed third, Megarry, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, and Lia Fail, ridden by W. Joyce, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Kearney stated that they were riding tight but that he did not receive interference. G.F. Carroll stated that he kept a straight line on the outside and did not receive interference. W. Joyce stated that his filly was leaning all the way but he was aware of the other horses and did not use his stick as he kept both hands on the reins in an effort to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately 2 furlongs from home involving Gloucester, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed fourth, and Lia Fail, ridden by W. Joyce, placed first, where it appeared Gloucester had to take a check after getting tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.A. Harnett stated that he had to take a check when going for a gap. W. Joyce stated that his filly was leaning right all the way but felt at that point he was keeping straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

256C Simonstown H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Cavallo Pazzo, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount checked off heels two furlongs out.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Jazzy Dancer, trained by W.J. Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel at halfway.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Senado Square (GB), trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the straight.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Step Back In Time, trained by Christopher David Timmons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cavallo Pazzo, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around halfway involving Californiagoldrush, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, unplaced, Hot Whispers, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, and Jazzy Dancer, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, where it appeared Jazzy Dancer clipped a heel after his ground was taken. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh stated it was getting tight but he did his best to stay straight. J.M. Sheridan stated he was looking for a run when he manoeuvered to his right and accepted he caused interference. L.T. McAteer stated that he clipped a heel when his ground was taken in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around halfway involving Cavallo Pazzo, ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced, Starnight, ridden by S.B. Kelly, unplaced, Run Forrest Run, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth, Senado Square (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, unplaced, and Silver Nemo, ridden by K.J. Leonard, unplaced, where it appeared several horses had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he had to check when Run Forrest Run crossed him. S.B. Kelly stated that he had to check when getting pressure from both sides. J.A. Powell felt he was clear of Cavallo Pazzo when edging left. A.J. Slattery stated that he got pressure from his left. K.J. Leonard stated that he was carried slightly right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.A. Powell was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden Carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 4 racedays.

256E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Time To Boogie (USA), placed first, as compared with its most recent run in Gowran Park on the 16th of August. Chris Armstrong, Authorised representative, reported that the ease in the ground today is what he attributes to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the contents of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dumb Love, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Love Me Doree, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

256F1 Gormanlough Apprentice H'cap

J. Kearney, rider of Fairytale Princess, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keenly.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Wish Me, trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the 100 yrd marker involving Mr Mills, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed fifth, and Florida Taiga, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed third, where it appeared Mr Mills received a bump from Florida Taiga. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Adam Caffrey stated that he received a minor bump when he was fading. P.A. Harnett stated that his filly was running around in front as he was trying to challenge. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards they took no further action.

J. Coen, rider of Lucky Queen, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step coming down the hill and was eased to the finishing line.

H.J. Horgan, rider of Numidia, trained by Peter Lawlor, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was running very keen shortly after leaving the stalls causing him to clip a heel as a result.

256F2 Gormanlough Apprentice H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Party Moon (GER), trained by John G. Carr, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

J. Kearney, rider of Pollanassa, trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount tight for room in the last one hundred yards.

The Raceday Stewards informed Steve Jones, trainer, that Ballybeg Boy, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the 200 yrd marker involving Dinamine, ridden by A.C. Persse, placed fourth, Slieve Bearnagh, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed first, Lady Christa, ridden by C. Horgan, placed second, Pollanassa, ridden by J. Kearney, placed fifth, and Special Protector, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.C. Persse stated that he was in front of the interference and wasn't affected. J.A. Powell stated that he allowed his horse to drift towards Pollanassa for company but felt he straightened him before causing interference. C. Horgan stated he wasn't interfered with. J. Kearney stated he received a bump from his right. M.W. Hassett stated he received a bump from Pollanassa. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

256G Lynn Lodge Stud M'dn

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Only For Me, trained by Mrs.Jessica Magnier, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Casino Loutraki, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
