The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

D.J. Bunyan, trainer of Seven Worlds (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

James J. Doyle rode Storm Eric (reserve) trained by Karl Thornton (Race 7)

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Scott Lang, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, L.T. McAteer admitted that he had breached the whip guidelines in relation to frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L.T. McAteer was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended L.T. McAteer for six racedays.

065E Tote Win Never Beaten By SP M'dn

J.M. Moore, rider of Nelly Murphy trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped heels in the straight.

O.J. Orr, rider of Zoffman trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong marker involving Darraby (GB), ridden by K.J. Manning, Highland King, ridden by S.B. Kelly, Nelly Murphy, ridden by J.M. Moore and Zoffman, ridden by O.J. Orr, where it appeared that Nelly Murphy stumbled and Highland King checked when Darraby (GB) edged left in running. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S.B. Kelly stated that he was angling out from behind Nelly Murphy when he saw that animal take a false step. J.M. Moore stated that he was holding a straight line when Darraby (GB) came over onto his racing line. K.J. Manning stated that his mount shifted left when Zoffman challenged on his outer. O.J. Orr stated that his mount picked up quickly and went left before being corrected and in his opinion Darraby (GB) jinked away from his own mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

S. Foley, rider of Paris Lights trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount walked out of the starting stalls.
