The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. Maxwell, rider of Rowdy Romeo, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.P. Maxwell accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D.P. Maxwell was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and in considering his record in this regard they suspended him for ten racedays.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Eddie & Patrick Harty, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Harvard Guy (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Eddie Harty,trainer, stated that he was unable to explain the poor run last time and in giving the horse a break as a result, felt this may have contributed to the improved performance today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
349D Bar One Racing For Auction Novice H'dleJ.W. Kennedy, rider of Dee Capo (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right from the start until turning into the home straight.
349H Bar One Racing (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Apple's Of Bresil (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Mr. F. Maguire accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Mr. F. Maguire in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and in considering his record in this regard they suspended him for three racedays.
Mr F. Maguire, rider of Apple's Of Bresil (FR), trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left under pressure.
