180B Foran Equine Irish EBF (F) Auction M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Punita Arora trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bad bump at the start and leaned right thereafter.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Burren Orchid trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Glow Worm trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right at the start.

180C Cross Guns Gastro Pub H'cap

The Stewards interviewed M. Watson, authorised representative of R. K. Watson, trainer of Blue Suede, concerning the conduct of this horse who dwelt in the stalls for a prolonged period after the stalls opened before eventually consenting to race. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the horse's previous record, the Stewards suspended Blue Suede from racing for 90 days.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Nimitz, ridden by K.J. Leonard, placed third, Dance Emperor, ridden by H.J. Horgan, placed second and Mallacoota, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed fourth, where it appeared Mallacoota ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H.J. Horgan gave his evidence in the presence of D. Coakley. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Alhajjaj (GB) trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Ballycaines trained by B.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise when coming under pressure.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Mallacoota trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

180G(i) Come Racing September 7th H'cap (Division One)

A.J. Farragher, rider of New York Lady trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount choked badly four furlongs out.

180G(ii) Come Racing September 7th H'cap (Division Two)

L.F. Roche, rider of War Advocate trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle today's going.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Ally Cay trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared as the stalls opened.

The Stewards received a report from P.L. Malone, IHRB Starter, that Ally Cay reared as the stalls opened.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Fescue (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he eased his mount in the straight due to interference from a loose horse.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the home bend involving Footsteps At Dawn, ridden by T.P. Madden, Light Breeze, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, and Paddytheirishman, ridden by R.P. Cleary, where it appeared Paddytheirishman came down and caused Footsteps At Dawn to unseat T.P. Madden. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action.
