The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Water Nymph (off-feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.T. Keane rode Aurum Sky (reserve) trained by A.J.Martin (Race 4).
R.P. Cleary rode Navy Beach (reserve) trained by A.J.Martin (Race 4).
M.A. Enright rode Great Blasket (reserve) trained by John Joseph Murphy (Race 4).

339A Sobac Healthy Soil soil.ie M'dn

The Stewards interviewed Adrian O'Shea, rider of Diamondsinthesand, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Adrian O' Shea admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Adrian O' Shea in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Adrian O' Shea for 2 racedays. Mr. Liam Walsh, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry and was replaced by Mr. M.F. O'Donoghue.

M.A. Enright, rider of Coolree trained by Miss Jennifer Anne Lynch, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Onemoreandaway trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Coolree, trained by Miss Jennifer Anne Lynch, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

339B Ir. Stall. Farms EBF Birdcatcher Nursery

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rhythm King, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

339C Awardsandgifts.ie H'cap

C.D. Hayes, rider of Jon Riggens trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run at the furlong pole.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Adnaan (GB) trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the latter stages of this race but ran on late.

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Sounds Of Spring trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met interference in the final furlong.

The Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final two hundred yards involving Jon Riggens, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Sounds Of Spring, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, and Daintree, ridden by J.A. Powell where it appeared Sounds Of Spring checked. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

339D Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, M.A. Enright rider of Great Blasket, trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was hampered early on.

339E Christmas Party Raceday on Dec 15th Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Helvic Dream, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

339F Finale Stakes

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two and a half furlongs from the finish involving Sunchart (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, and Lakewood, ridden by D.P. McDonogh where it appeared that Sunchart(GB) edged left and Lakewood checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D.P. McDonogh stated that his race was run when Sunchart(GB) rolled in and he had to take a precautionary check. A.J. Slattery stated that he was about to take a gap when it tightened and in turn he tightened Lakewood on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Sunchart (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, and Sidiriya, ridden by L.F. Roche where it appeared that Sidiriya checked when Sunchart (GB) delivered his challenge on his inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, L.F. Roche stated that his mount was tiring when he received pressure from both sides. A.J. Slattery stated that his mount was travelling well when others were tiring around him and a gap tightened when he got into it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for one raceday. .

339G Colm White Bookmaker November H'cap

The Stewards reviewed an incident close to the finish involving My Mate Mozzie, ridden by R. Whearty, and Drop The Anchor, ridden by N.G. McCullagh where it appeared that both horses drifted to the left when racing close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Powerful Aggie (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, D.P. McDonogh accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.P. McDonogh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended D.P. McDonogh for four racedays.

The Stewards interviewed N.G. McCullagh, rider of Drop The Anchor, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, N.G. McCullagh accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that N.G. McCullagh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended N.G. McCullagh for two racedays.

339H Congratulations To Flat Champions H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vocal Studies, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Boher Road trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Dha Leath, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.F. Carroll accepted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended G.F. Carroll for one raceday.
