334A BetVictor M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the last hurdle involving Prevaricate, ridden by D.N. Russell, and Uhtred, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, where it appeared Uhtred shifted left after the last hurdle taking the ground of Prevaricate. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.N. Russell stated that he could see Uhtred was jumping left and his mount followed the horse left. Rachael Blackmore stated that her mount jumped left, she put her hand back on the reins to straighten up and applied her whip down the left shoulder to correct her mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.

The Stewards wished to enquire into the running and riding of Salamanca Bay, ridden by M.P. Fogarty, and trained by Jonathan Fogarty. The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Salamanca Bay was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. As Jonathan Fogarty, Trainer, was not present at the meeting and had not appointed an Authorised Representative to represent him, the Stewards imposed a fine of €130 in accordance with Rule 147(v) and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee.

334B BetVictor Fishery Lane H'dle

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Quilixios (GB) trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung right throughout.

The Stewards advised Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Vultan, that a repeat of this horse's behaviour at the start where he became unruly, refused to come forward and had to be withdrawn by the starter for refusing to line up, may render the horse liable to suspension in future.

334D BetVictor Brown Lad H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed B. Hayes, rider of Aldo The Apache, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he used his whip in the closing stages as he was concerned his horse might fade going up the hill. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(c)(unnecessary use - race won) and having taken his record into account suspended him for one race day.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Panda Boy trained by Martin Brassil was post race normal.

334G Mongey Communications Beg. S'chase

B.J. Cooper, rider of Mercury Lane trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was taken out by a faller and he pulled up.
