Heffernan, and trained by A.P.O'Brien where Mythologic held sixth position inside the final furlong but surrendered this close in the latter stages to finish last of eight runners. Evidence was heard from J.A. Heffernan, rider, who stated that his mount had been in contention and under a forceful ride but had hung to the right during this race and had no more to offer in the closing stages. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Mythologic was blowing hard post race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the evidence of J.A. Heffernan in relation to his riding in the closing stages. Heffernan of his responsibility to comply with Rule 213 whereby he shall report in the first instance anything which might have affected the running of his horse in a race.
