The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Lee Smyth, trainer of Purring Along (declared in error) - €200
John C. McConnell, trainer of Double Martini (late withdrawal) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.D. Maxwell rode Play It Again Zaam (reserve) trained by Conor David Maxwell (Race 8).

099A Irish Stallion Farm EBF (Fillies) M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Red Veil, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the run to the line involving Velvet Skies, ridden by W. Joyce, placed second, and Barley Cove, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed third, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S. Foley, rider of Heavenly Being, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bolted after the start.

099C Naas Racecourse Centenary Year H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the two furlong pole involving Laugh A Minute (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed first, and Jon Riggens, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

W.J. Lee, rider of Stag Night, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left in the last furlong and a half.

099D Anglesey Lodge Equine Woodlands Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Ocean Quest, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, and Gabriella's Spirit, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, where it appeared there was slight contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he kept a straight line and got through the gap as soon as it appeared. C.D. Hayes stated that he got a small bump but was going backwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Aesop's Fables, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

099E Race & Stay (Fillies) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards interviewed W. Joyce, rider of Sing A New Song, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that W. Joyce was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they suspended him for two racedays.

099G1 Best Of Luck To Our Neighbours H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Skontonovski (GB), ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, unplaced, Hastily (GB), ridden by G.P. Halpin, unplaced, Wayne R Walker (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced, My Birthday Girl, ridden by J.A. Powell, unplaced, and Judicial Reward, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, where it appeared numerous horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.J. MacRedmond stated that he maintained a straight line the whole way. R.C. Colgan stated that he kept his mount straight. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was going backwards when he felt pressure from his inside and had to pull out . G.P. Halpin stated that he had to check as his mount wasn't able to get through the gap. J.A. Powell stated that he felt he kept a straight line and hadn't caused any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

J.A. Powell, rider of My Birthday Girl, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room up the straight.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Epaulawn, trained by Noel G. Hynds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became unbalanced.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Judicial Reward, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a precautionary check a furlong and a half out.

099G2 Best Of Luck To Our Neighbours H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Moutarde, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Gavin Cromwell stated that the application of a first time hood, slower ground and change of riding tactics may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Breezy Zoff, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sound Move, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped on the way to the start.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after leaving the stalls where it appeared Sound Move, ridden by D.P. McDonogh had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
