The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Goa Gajah (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

S. Foley, rider of Panic Alarm trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green under pressure and went left when it hit the front.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Goa Gajah (USA), ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed second, Lord Massusus, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, Panic Alarm, ridden by S. Foley, placed first, and Encosta, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, where it appeared that Encosta ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Sheehy stated that his mount had hung but felt he had maintained his line. G. F. Carroll stated that his mount was intimidated by the horse on his outer. S. Foley stated that his mount moved left when he hit the front. C. T. Keane stated that his race was run and he took a precautionary check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while there had been unintentional interference, no horse had improved its finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

316D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Garnet Stakes

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Esculenta trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the gates and missed the break.

K.J. Manning, rider of Freedom Of Speech trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount missed the kick.

D.N. Curran, rider of Barretstown trained by Conor O'Dwyer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

At the request of the Stewards, D.A Kidd, rider of Vintage Fame, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled and stopped quickly.

The Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after leaving the stalls where it appeared that Rotolo, ridden by Neve Bennett, ran short of room and had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed Neve Bennett, rider of Rotolo, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Neve Bennett was in breach of Regulation 10.3.b, out of contention. Having considered Neve Bennett's record in this regard the Stewards suspended her for two racedays.

316F Irish EBF Auction Series Nursery H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Lazer Port trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around when it came off the bridle.

316G Congratulations to Naas GAA H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Verhoyen (GB) trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference in the closing stages.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Verhoyen (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, Spanish Tenor, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Rough Diamond, ridden by D. McMonagle, and Dairerin (GB), ridden by J.A. Powell where it appeared that Verhoyen had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. J. Lee stated that he had to check off heels when he received pressure from his outside. Adam Caffrey stated that he maintained his line. D. McMonagle stated that his mount drifted left and he used his stick twice in the right hand when the horse inside him moved in. J. A. Powell stated that he had to check when the horse on his outside went past him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found D. McMonagle, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for two race days.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Fastar trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference after the start.

S. Foley, rider of Scarlet Dancer trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped badly left when the stalls opened.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Let's Fly Again (GB) trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered leaving the stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Dairerin (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount edged left in the last furlong.

316H Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes

The Stewards fined M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer, €65 for fitting visors to Lakewood which had not been declared and ordered it’s removal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Irish Lullaby (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Irish Lullaby (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.
