The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Forever And Always (Off feed) - €200
Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Make A Challenge (Change in going) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Dante's Pass (Change in going) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Opulent (Change in going) - €200
Peter Fahey, trainer of Disco Boots (Ground - late w/d at 1.58 p.m.) - €200 (excuse) and €200 (late w/d)

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Heffernan replaced M.C. Hussey on Lost, trained by A.P.O'Brien (Race 6)(Intended mount was a non runner)

119B Sole Power Sprint Stakes

D. McMonagle, rider of Brostaigh, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount drifted right in the closing stages.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Geocentric, ridden by C.T. Keane and Brostaigh, ridden by D. McMonagle, where it appeared that Geocentric checked momentarily when Brostaigh drifted across her racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

119C Coolmore Stud EBF (Fillies) Sprint Stks

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of It's Showtime Baby (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, S. Foley stated that he mistakenly exceeded the whip guidelines for frequency and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence,the Stewards were of the opinion that S. Foley was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S. Foley for one raceday.

119E Goffs Lacken Stakes

The Stewards informed G.M.Lyons, trainer that Beauty Inspire, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Halpin, rider of Saliteh (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, G.P. Halpin stated that his mount was lugging to the left having hit a ridge when he gave her a flick of the whip to straighter her. He accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines for frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P. Halpin was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended G.P. Halpin for three racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Straight Answer (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

119G Royal Ascot Trials At Naas H'cap

T.P. Madden, rider of Tut Tut trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was checked turning in.

D. McMonagle, rider of Eskimo Komet trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

119H Tote Always SP Or Better H'cap

The Stewards informed Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer that Ransom (GB), would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined River Derwent (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
