The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J. S. McGarvey replaced J.M. Moore on Shantou Lucky, trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 7)(Stood down)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Harrie (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

048C BARONERACING.COM Leinster Nat. Hcap S'ch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Saturnas (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Saturnas (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.

048D Bar One Racing Kingsfurze Novice H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Delvino, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

048E Bar One Racing Million M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grangeclare Native, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

048F Bar One Racing €30 Free Bet H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Ms. Alice Curran, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Jacksons Gold, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Ms. Alice Curran stated that her charge had found the ground too testing at Thurles on the 21st of February and the better ground today coupled with the benefit of a recent run had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

The Stewards interviewed I.J. Power, rider of Jacksons Gold, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

048G Bar One Racing (M) (Pr/Am) INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Burn The Evidence (GB), trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Feeney, rider of Feddans, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the rule. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. T. Feeney was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. T. Feeney's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. T. Feeney for seven racedays.

048H Bar One Racing Danny Mullins H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rocco Storm, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from Oliver McKiernan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Junior Rattler, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Oliver McKiernan stated that his charge had boiled over leaving the parade ring and was then further unsettled when there was a false start at Punchestown on the first of March. He added that his charge was much more relaxed today and this coupled with a drop back to two miles had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
