The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Tell Us This, ridden by R.A. Doyle, and trained by Gavin Cromwell. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. R.A. Doyle, stated that this is a raw horse. His instructions were to jump him off, give his mount a bit of light and creep into the race. In the race he covered him up, his mount ran in snatches, he got shuffled back a little further than he wished as they turned in and he ended up in a pocket. He added that his mount nodded at the second last, the others quickened too much for him and his horse finished to the best of his ability. Gavin Cromwell confirmed the instructions given, apart from that he had instructed him to ride on the outer. He stated that this is not a straight forward horse and every day is like his first day but he thought he jumped well. Regarding the ride given he stated that he felt the rider did not look to push him out close home but perhaps he was running onto horses in front of him. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Tell Us This was examined and found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found the rider and trainer in breach of Rule 212A(ii).
