The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Western Rambler, ridden by R.J. Condon, and trained by Eoin Doyle. Evidence was heard from the rider and from Michael Moran, Authorised Representative of E. Doyle. R.J. Condon stated that he was instructed to jump off at the rear, give his mount plenty of light at the first hurdle, get into a good jumping rhythm and to push on as well as possible. As the race progressed, R.J. Condon added that his mount made mistakes at the second and third hurdles, his jumping improved thereafter and when he tried to get back into the race the leaders had quickened too much for him. Overall, R.J. Condon was satisfied with the ride however due to inexperience he may not have pushed his mount as much as he could have in the closing stages. M. Moran confirmed the riding instructions given to R.J. Condon and stated that his charge did not jump well and got tired in this race. M. Moran was satisfied with the performance of his charge, he was blowing hard after the run and he was therefore satisfied that Western Rambler got a good run. M. Moran added that in his opinion his charge ran green and is not an easy horse to ride, however he could possibly have been squeezed on more in the back straight. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Western Rambler was blowing hard post race and had wounds to his right hock and right hind fetlock. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered and took no further action.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C. Brassil was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (c) in that he used his whip unneccessarily after having clearly achieved his best possible place. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended C. Brassil for 1 raceday.

Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned Mr. G.B. Noonan .
259D M.J. Carroll ARRO H'cap H'dleThe Stewards requested a report from John E. Kiely, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Line Out, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. J.E. Kiely reported that his charge dissappointed on his most recent run whch was a run that he possibly needed having been unraced for 1 year. His charge benefitted from this run and brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
259F Charlie Chute Memorial H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Act In Time, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and had fresh grazes on both stifles post race.

Alan Coady, Authorised Representative of H. de Bromhead, reported that his charge's previous run was on soft ground and that he prefers racing over fences on good ground. Today's ground combined with a claiming rider on board assisted Or Jaune De Somoza and brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
M.P. Walsh, rider of Act In Time trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.
