The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

John C. McConnell, trainer of Silverstrand (Declared in Error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

I.J. Power rode Risky Whiskey (reserve) trained by Paul O'Flynn (Race 2)
I.J. Power rode Risky Whiskey (reserve) trained by Paul O'Flynn (Race 2)
M.P. O'Connor rode Lady L'lerom (reserve) trained by Shane Nolan (Race 6)
A. McCurtin rode Golden Glen (reserve) trained by John J. Walsh (Race 7)
D. Meyler replaced L.P. Dempsey on Don't Talk (GER), trained by Karl Thornton (Race 4)(Intended mount a non-runner)
Mr. J. Sexton replaced Mr H.E. Sexton on Up For Carey, trained by L.J.Archdeacon (Race 8)(Stewards permission)

073A Molly's Late Bar M'dn H'dle

S.D. Torrens, rider of Better Back Minnie, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount sustained an injury and pulled up.

The Stewards requested a report from R.A. Doyle, rider of Celine Man, regarding his mount having jumped a hurdle on the way to the start. Having considered the report, the Stewards were satisfied with the explanation and that a breach of Rule 205(ii) had not occurred.

073B Locke Burger (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Eoghan O'Grady, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Toofareastiswest, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on it's previous run at Thurles on February 22nd, when pulling up on ground that he felt was too soft and was of the opinion that more favourable ground conditions today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

073C House And Amber Rated Novice H'dle

The Stewards fined P.J.F. Murphy, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Benruben, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bravo Team, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his left hind leg.

073D MJ Finnegan's H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, P.T. Enright, rider of Hard Rain, trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got short for room on a few occasions.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Little Token, trained by J.P. O'Keeffe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Name Me Famous, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that a combination of better ground and the application of a tongue strap may have contributed to the apparent improvement. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

073E McDermott's GALA Patrickswell H'cap Hdle

Adam Williams, rider of Fortune Street (FR) trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

073F1 Newcastlewest H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the fall of Morricone, ridden by D.E. Mullins in the straight. The rider reported that his mount stumbled and fell independently. Having considered the evidence and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Howyated trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Dragon's Pass trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dragon's Pass, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Light Heidi trained by Matthew J. Smith was found to have blood at one nostril post race.

073F2 Newcastlewest H'cap H'dle

C.P. McNamara, rider of Holiday In Kerry trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Good Bye Milan trained by S.Braddish, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Holiday In Kerry, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
