At the request of the Stewards, G.M. Ryan, rider of Maid Of Eirinn, trained by P.J. Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount failed to quicken in the straight when asked and took a heave possibly as a result of the ground.

At the request of the Stewards, E.J. McNamara, rider of Rip Wendy, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well, was not good enough in the straight and stayed on past tired horses in the closing stages.

At the request of the Stewards, M.A. Gallagher, rider of Made For Minds, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount broke well from the stalls, but did not have the pace early on. The Stewards interviewed C.D. Maxwell, rider of Li Mu Bai, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had failed to give his mount time to respond to the whip on the run to the line, but stated that his mount was hanging. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.D. Maxwell was in breach of Regulation 10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Li Mu Bai, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung off the bend.

The Stewards requested a report from James M. Barrett, trainer,as to the apparent improvement in form of Corballis Flyer, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. Niall Hamilton, authorised representative for the trainer, reported that the first time application of blinkers on this occasion appeared to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
