The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A. McCurtin replaced M.P. Burke on Hey Groovy, trained by John M.Burke (Race 3)(Stewards' permission).
R. Blackmore replaced D.N. Russell on Bective Cave, trained by Matthew J. Smith (Race 6)(injured)

199A Free Racecourse WiFi (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Ellipsism, prior to entering the parade ring.

D.N. Russell, rider of Tapenade trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tired.

The Stewards requested a report from W.J. Burke, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Shedding, placed first, as compared with its recent form. W.J. Burke reported that his charge got a more positive ride today compared to his recent runs and this, in addition to the first time application of cheek pieces, benefitted his charge and brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tapenade, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind post race.

199B Limerick On Twitter (M) Rated Nov H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Medical Officer, Dr. Linsey Mason, reported to the Stewards that C.A. Landers, rider of Gotthenod, trained by Mrs D.A.Love, sustained a shoulder injury in running which did not allow the rider to assist his mount any further in this race.

The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ayr Of Elegance (GB), placed first, as compared with its previous run. Alan Coady, Authorised Representative of Henry de Bromhead, reported that his charge was stepped up in trip on her last run and she did not stay. Ayr of Elegance was dropped back to a more suitable distance today which brought about an improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

199C Follow Limerick On Facebook H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of Hey Groovy, regarding his failure to dismount after his mount went lame. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, and also from Ms. Nicola O'Connor, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer and Ms. Jenny Lynch, Irish Blue Cross Ambulance. Having considered the evidence, including photographic evidence presented by Ms. N. O'Connor, the Stewards were of the opinion that A. McCurtin was in breach of Rule 272, in that he acted in a manner which was prejudicial to the good reputation of Irish Horseracing, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 7 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hey Groovy, trained by John M.Burke, at the request of the Stewards and reported that the animal was found to have severed her right fore superficial digital flexor tendon post race.

A. McCurtin, rider of Hey Groovy trained by John M.Burke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

199E Bluegrass Horse Feed H'dle

Following a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Medical Officer, Dr. Linsey Mason, to the effect that D.N. Russell rider of Everybreathyoutake, placed second, was injured and unable to weigh in following this race, the Stewards allowed the placings to stand in accordance with Rule 230 (i).

199F Limerick's Live 95FM H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Doyen Bay trained by Eoghan O'Grady was lame on his right fore limb post race.

P.T. Enright, rider of Doyen Bay trained by Eoghan O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

M.A. Enright, rider of Mooborak trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran poorly.

199G Irish Stall Farms EBF (F) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr M.J.M. O'Sullivan, rider of Majestic Maid, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. M.J.M. O'Sullivan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. M.J.M. O'Sullivan for 1 raceday and reminded him of his future responsibilities.
