The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Coole Vision, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, and trained by Norman Lee. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. S. Fitzgerald, stated that his instructions were to settle his mount towards the rear of the field as it can be a difficult ride, to get it jumping and to do the best he could. He said his mount jumped and settled well and that he stayed on one paced in the home straight under a hands and heels ride passing tired horses. Norman Lee, confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He stated that his charge can be very difficult to settle and has failed to finish well on its previous runs as a result of this. He further informed the Raceday Stewards that his charge has suffered from wind problems in the past and this is why he had instructed the rider to ride patiently throughout. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, who stated that Coole Vision was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered.
