Limerick 17th June 2022

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A.M. Glynn rode Victory March (reserve) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan (Race 5)

165A Regeneron Ireland Employee Claiming Race

The Stewards requested a report from J.F. Levins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Salt Whistle Bay, placed first, as compared with its recent form. J.F. Levins reported that his charge was too fresh on its last run and therefore ran too free. They changed tactics today and this in his opinion brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.

165B Regeneron Ireland Science Rated Race

The Stewards interviewed D.E. Sheehy, rider of Half Nutz, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who apologised for using his his whip above the permitted level. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D.E. Sheehy was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

165D Martin Molony Stakes

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the straight involving Raise You, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Sunchart, ridden by A.J. Slattery and Inuit (FR), ridden by D. McMonagle, where it appeared there was contact between Raise You and Sunchart. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sunchart (GB) trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

D. McMonagle, rider of Inuit (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left off the home bend.
