Race 5; +1 minute.

D. McMonagle, rider of Raise You trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right from half way.

107D Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes

The Stewards fined J.S. Bolger, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue tie to Wexford Soil, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Fernando Vichi, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third and Southern Lights, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed sixth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that he was finishing fast and had to check when the gap in front of him closed. G.M. Ryan stated that he was not aware that there was a horse on the rail when he moved to the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while Fernando Vichi had caused interference to Southern Lights, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They were, however, of the opinion that G.M. Ryan was in breach of Rue 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered G.M. Ryan's record in this regard the Stewards suspended G.M. Ryan for three racedays.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Southern Lights trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked in the straight.

James J. Doyle, rider of Excelcius (USA) trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Oh So True (USA) trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked at the two furlong pole.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Macadam's Rock, trained by G.M. Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

107G Captain Dara Fitzpatrick Memorial M'dn

The Stewards informed J.P. Murtagh, trainer that Killaloan, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Egyptian Rock trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.

107H Foxrock (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Ubuntu, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, unplaced and Ulster Blackwater, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed fifth, where it appeared that the two briefly came together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
