The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.M. Moore replaced K.C. Sexton on Royal Hideaway, trained by David Peter Dunne (Race 1)(Injured)
S. O'Callaghan replaced J.B. Kane on Queenie Newall (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 4)(Injured)
K.M. Donoghue replaced K.C. Sexton on Round The Buoy (GB), trained by David Peter Dunne (Race 5)(Injured)

048A2 Happy Birthday Michael Louis M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, L.A. McKenna, rider of Sundrenched, trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled on the ground.

048D TRI Equestrian H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Pale Blue Dot (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, D.G. Hogan stated that he had used the whip a few times before the final hurdle for corrective purposes and the remaining use had not exceeded the guidelines for the use of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.G. Hogan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended D.G. Hogan for seven racedays.

048E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beg. S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Rightful Mind (GB) trained by Gavin Cromwell was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

048F John Thomas McNamara (QR) H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Big Leg Up, trained by J.G.Cosgrave, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly distressed post race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J. Dunne, rider of Fou Diligence, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr J. Dunne accepted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines in relation to use. Furthermore, photographic evidence was furnished from the IHRB Veterinary Officer. He accepted the content within. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J. Dunne was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr J. Dunne for three racedays.
