375A Savills M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Life In The Park, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Roaring Potter (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right fore post race.

At the request of the Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Roaring Potter (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount struggled from the third last hurdle.

375B Pertemps Network H'cap H'dle (Qualifier)

At the request of the Stewards, S. O'Callaghan, rider of Whatsnotoknow, trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was tightened from the outside after the second last hurdle which caused the animal to clip a heel and unbalance the rider who in turn was unseated.

Sam Ewing, rider of Coltor trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

A representative of Mrs John Harrington, trainer of The Very Man, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that their charge scoped wrong post race.

K.C. Sexton, rider of Kilfenora trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong behind in running.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the second last hurdle involving Gentlemansgame (GB), ridden by Aidan Coleman, Whatsnotoknow, ridden by S. O'Callaghan and Winter Fog, ridden by D.E. Mullins where it appeared that Whatsnotoknow appeared to be tight for room and dislodged his rider. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence S. O'Callaghan stated that his mount jumped the second last hurdle, got squeezed for room from the outside and he had lost his balance and an iron before being unseated. Having viewed the recording of the incident, S. O'Callaghan stated that he no longer thought that he had clipped heels. Aidan Coleman stated that he received pressure from his outside and did not have the horse to hold his line. D.E. Mullins stated that his mount had jumped to the right and he straightened him to get back on his racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanations, did not apportion any blame to any rider and took no further action.

375C The lrish Daily Star Christmas Hcap Hdle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Father Ailbe trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went wrong in running.

At the request of the Stewards, K.M. Donoghue, rider of The Dasher Conway, trained by Mrs Gillian Callaghan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount over reacted when switched left off heels nearing the omitted hurdle in the straight and collided with Explosive Boy (Fr).

At the request of the Stewards, B.J. Cooper, rider of Explosive Boy (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly after the second last hurdle.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Explosive Boy (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Owing to the low lying elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdle #1 to be omitted from this race

The Stewards reviewed an incident before the final hurdle which was omitted involving The Dasher Conway, ridden by K.M. Donoghue and Explosive Boy (FR), ridden by B.J. Cooper, where it appeared that The Dasher Conway went sharply to the left and collided with Explosive Boy (Fr). Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

375D Dornan Engineering Christmas H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, B. Hayes, rider of Saldier (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was nearly brought down by a faller at the second last hurdle on the first circuit and then made a bad mistake at the next hurdle before being pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sire Du Berlais (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into the start of this race. The video recording and still pictures were shown before evidence was heard. Mr J.R. Banahan IHRB Starter stated that all horses had approached him in a controlled manner and at the same time that he was dropping his flag, Klassical Dream (Fr) plunged forward into stride. P. Townend rider of Klassical Dream (Fr) stated that his mount is known for his antics at the start and he fly leaped forward at the same time that the starter had dropped his flag. D.E. Mullins, rider of Flooring Porter accepted the evidence as submitted by Mr J.R. Banahan and P. Townend and stated that the video recordings were self explanatory. Having considered all the evidence, viewed the video recordings and the still pictures of the start, the Stewards were satisfied that the starting procedures were adhered to. .

375F Ballymaloe Relish Beginners S'chase

D.N. Russell, rider of Floueur (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a couple of errors during this race.

B.J. Cooper, rider of Opposites Attract trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up after making a bad mistake.

A representative of Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Crosshill, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that their charge finished lame.
