At the request of the Raceday Stewards, B. Hayes, rider of Showman (GB), trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped the second hurdle well but carried the rider to the left and ran out.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the finish involving Ascending, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and Tekao (FR), ridden by M.P. Walsh where it appeared that contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
381C Paddy's Rewards Club S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Andy Dufresne, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Andy Dufresne, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out from flagfall.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gentleman De Mee (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
381E Paddy Power Je Suis Une Baguette Hcp HdlThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Anna Bunina (FR), ridden by S.D. Torrens, Tudor City, ridden by B.J. Cooper, Nibiru, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, and Gold Speed, ridden by K.C. Sexton where it appeared that Tudor City checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, B.J. Cooper stated that mount was beaten at the time of the incident and checked when getting pressure from both sides. S.D. Torrens stated that he was riding on the inside of the incident and was not affected. K.C. Sexton stated that he rode straight to the bend and received a little interference. M.J.M. O'Sullivan stated that he had kept a good line to the bend but the field of runners bunched at this point which had no effect on his overall performance. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
381F Paddy Power S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference on the run in from the last fence involving Ain't That A Shame, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed fourth, and Foxy Jacks, ridden by Shane Fenelon, placed fifth, where it appeared that Ain't That A Shame went to the right and crossed the racing line of Foxy Jacks which checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Shane Fenelon stated that his mount had maintained a straight racing line from the last fence but had to check when crossed by Ain't That A Shame. Rachael Blackmore stated that her mount had been leaning to the left when also jumping left at the last fence and consequently she put her whip into her left hand but her mount got leg weary and ran dramatically to the right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Ain't That A Shame had caused interference to Foxy Jacks, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that Rachael Blackmore was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly. Having considered her record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards cautioned her on this occasion.
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Ain't That A Shame trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung on the run in.
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Death Duty trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake in the back straight.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.E Buckley, rider of Diol Ker (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, K.E. Buckley stated that his mount responded well from the last fence and he had lost the exact count. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that K.E. Buckley was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended K.E. Buckley for two racedays.
J.B. Foley, rider of Stones And Roses trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last fence.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Shane Fenelon, rider of Foxy Jacks, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Shane Fenelon admitted that he had lost count on the use of his whip in a tight finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Shane Fenelon was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended Shane Fenelon for three racedays.
381G Paddy Power Flat One INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident when leaving the back straight involving Ask Anything, ridden by Mr J. Dunne, Fact To File (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, and Kalanisi Flash, ridden by Mr A. Harvey where it appeared that Kalanisi Flash checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr A. Harvey stated that his mount was squeezed by Ask Anything hanging inwards while Fact To File (FR) was also moving out for position. Mr J. Dunne stated that his mount was hanging in at a time when Kalanisi Flash was also struggling. Mr P.W. Mullins stated that he had chosen to switch out off Will Do and Kalanisi Flash got caught for room when trying to hold his position between horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
