The Stewards enquired into an incident where the runners met the running rail having jumped the third last hurdle involving Futurum Regem, ridden by E. Walsh, unplaced, Orlov, ridden by J.R. Wildman, a faller at this point, Theatre Of War, ridden by J.M. Moore, placed second, Tronador, ridden by K. Brogan, placed fourth and Cosmic Jazz, ridden by P.E. Corbett, unplaced, where it appeared that some of the horses ran short of room and Orlov fell as a consequence. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and from the Clerk of the Course Lorcan Wyer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference that took place was accidental in nature and took no further action.
K. Brogan, rider of Tronador, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference after the third last hurdle, lost his placing and made up a lot of ground from that incident to finish fourth.
E. Walsh, rider of Futurum Regem, trained by Hugh Paul Finegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference after the third last hurdle and got unbalanced.

Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.M. Moore for 2 racedays.

355F Paddy Power S'chaseThe Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Roaring Bull, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Gordon Elliot reported that his charge has been very inconsistent and the application of blinkers at Navan the previous day lit him up and he ran too keen. They were applied again today because of his temperament but had the desired affect when settling well throughout the race and staying on with interest in the closing stages. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
J.M. Moore, rider of Killer Miller trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled in this race.
The Stewards enquired into the late withdrawal (1.23 p.m) of Blazer, trained by W.P. Mullins. The trainer stated that he was not fully satisfied with his charge when his other runners were being dispatched from his premises this morning. He sought veterinary advice and at a later stage it was determined that Blazer was not fit to run. He assured the Stewards that alternative transport was available if his charge was fit to fulfill his engagement. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered as being valid and remitted the fine. Mr. Justice Tony Hunt, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry and Mr. Justice Frank Clarke acted as Chairman of the Acting Stewards.
