Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Saielah, trained by J.P. Murtagh, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
The Stewards requested reports from R.P. Whelan, rider of Deise Delight, W.J. Lee, rider of White Winged Dove (USA) and N.G. McCullagh, rider of Camachita, following the unseating of N.M. Crosse, rider of Burren Orchid, approximately five and a half furlongs from the finish. R.P. Whelan reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suddenly ducked right for no apparent reason which caused the unseating of N.M. Crosse. W.J. Lee, who was racing behind the incident reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that Burren Orchid appeared to suddenly duck right. N.G. McCullagh, who also raced behind the incident reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that Burren Orchid appeared to suddenly shift right. N.M. Crosse was unable to report to the Stewards due to being attended to by medical staff. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the reports the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Deise Delight trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked shortly after the start.
198B Frank Conroy Irish EBF M'dnThe Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after turning into the straight involving Cormorant, ridden by D. O'Brien, National Asset, ridden by K.J. Manning, and Perry Owens, ridden by C.T. Keane, where it appeared Perry Owens checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.
198C Jockey Club Of Turkey Silver Flash StksS. Foley, rider of Windracer trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away and never travellled.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Windracer, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
198E Something Happens H'capThe Stewards fined John James Feane, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared Sheepskin Cheek Pieces to Asanda, prior to entering the parade ring.
S. Foley, rider of Ben Alexander (GB), trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount wasn't travelling well and he checked shortly after turning into the straight.
198G Horseraces S.A. Of Greece H'capThe Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Hurricane Sky, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed first and Dinard Rose, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, where it appeared Dinard Rose was carried right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
The Stewards requested a report from Charles O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Hurricane Sky, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer's representative, Mr. G. Abbott, reported that this horse had blinkers reapplied for the first time in a long time which may have prompted a return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
