297A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the back straight involving Epona Plays, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Moonwalk, ridden by M.C. Hussey, unplaced, and Pyramid Rock, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, where it appeared that M. C. Hussey ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental in nature and they took no further action.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Holy Roman Empress trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Pyramid Rock trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very green throughout.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Sindhia trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost her action two furlongs from home.

297B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Royal Casamento trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount came under pressure at half way and stopped very quickly thereafter.

297C Leopardstown Spooktacular Nursery H'cap

The Stewards enquired into two separate incidents in the closing stages of this race involving Feminista, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed sixth, Grey Serge (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth and Zoom Zoom Babe (GB), ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference suffered was accidental in nature and they took no further action. The stewards advised S. M. Crosse to ride with more care in future.

297D Tote Supporting Racing Since 1930 H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Spanish Tenor trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Spanish Tenor, trained by Timothy Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined King Pellinor, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards advised John C. McConnell, Trainer of Pivotal Man, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to leave the starting stalls, may render the horse liable to suspension.

The Stewards fined Joseph G. Murphy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of L'empathie, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of L'empathie in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

297G Trigo Stakes

The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Ancient Spirit (GER), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted S. Foley's explanation that one of the strikes was a corrective measure and they thus took no further action.

S. Foley, rider of Ancient Spirit (GER) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the home straight.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for the following delays: Race 3 + 1 minute, race 4 + 2 minutes, race 6 + 1 minute and race 7 + 1 minute
