The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer of Shantou Warrior (Going) - €200
Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer of Shantou Warrior (Late withdrawal at 3.36 p.m.) - €200

189A Dawn Milk Omega M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident both before and after the final hurdle involving Whenurgoodurgood, ridden by C.J. Orr, placed first and Westmead, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed second, where it appeared that both horses got close together and made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Westmead was a difficult ride and consequently gave S. Flanagan the benefit of the doubt. In the circumstances the Stewards took no further action.

189B Abode Living Irish EBF Mares H'dle

C.A. Landers, rider of Sand Fly trained by Patrick Neville, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stalled when a fair start was effected.

The Stewards interviewed Patrick Neville, trainer of Sand Fly, concerning his conduct prior to the start of this race where he appeared to use an object to encourage his charge to walk forward when showing a reluctant tendency. Patrick Neville admitted that he had attended the start and that his charge had shown reluctance to join the other runners when being called forward by the starter. He admitted to using a small twig to encourage the filly who in his opinion may have been discouraged having bitten her tongue and this may have contributed to her unwillingness to compete The Stewards were of the opinion that Patrick Neville was in breach of R13 and severely cautioned him on this occasion having taken his previous record into consideration.

189C Dawn Hi & Lo Milk H'cap H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Road By The River, trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Road By The River trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race.

C.A. Landers, rider of Hussle Up trained by Patrick Neville, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found the ground to be too quick and pulled up.

189D AdareManor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Archer's Up (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gone Galavanting, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Stewards interviewed A.W. Short, rider of Wolfofallstreets, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.W. Short was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned A.W. Short on this occasion.

189E Dawn Milk Run H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the second last hurdle involving Ming Dynasty (FR), ridden by J.M. Moore, placed fourth and Ar Eagla Na Heagla (GB), ridden by M.A. Enright, placed fifth, where it appeared that Ar Eagla Na Heagla (GB) met with interference and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.M. Moore had caused the incident by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned J.M. Moore on this occasion.

189F The Europe Hotel Killarney INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Free Nelson (GB), trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

189G Lucey Transport (L) (Pr/A) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Springfield Lodge, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss M. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss M. O'Sullivan for 3 racedays.
