T.P. Madden, rider of Hint Of Stars trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount checked half a furlong from the finish.

186C Sauternes Cup Rated Race

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Highland Dress (GB), trained by John M. Oxx, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost his action close to the finish.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Highland Dress (GB), trained by John M. Oxx, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal but was noted to have a choppy gait when trotted.

186F The Rentokil Initial H'cap

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Defining Battle, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.P. Hoban was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended C.P. Hoban for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed N.M. Crosse, rider of Next Stop Broadway, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that N.M. Crosse was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned N.M. Crosse on this occasion.

186G Dorothy Henggeler Memorial H'cap

The Stewards fined Shane Ryder, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of A Few Bob Short, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of A Few Bob Short in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Clover Moon trained by T.J. O'Mara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very free during the early stages of this race.
