The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K. Callaghan rode Milajess (reserve) trained by Michael C.Griffin (Race 2).
J.S. McGarvey rode Camilla's Choice (reserve) trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 4)
S.F. O'Keeffe rode Seskin Flyer (reserve) trained by Patrick Carey (Race 6)
D.J. Gilligan replaced M.J.M O'Sullivan on Happy D'ex (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 5)(Stood down)
S.W. Flanagan replaced M.J.M O'Sullivan on Slane Hill, trained by Barry Connell (Race 7)(Stood down)

091A Spring Two Day N.H. Meeting M'dn H'dle

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Chequer Square, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout this race.

P.T. Enright, rider of Cosmo Skyline (FR), trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got injured in running and was pulled up.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Byrnes, rider of I Owe You One, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he lost an iron when his mount made a bad mistake at the second hurdle and retrieved it later.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Stuzzikini, placed first, as compared with its previous run when pulled up at Down Royal in a nineteen runner maiden hurdle on Soft to Heavy ground on the 17th March. Gordon Elliott reported that his charge never travelled on the ground at Down Royal and no abnormality was found post race. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

091B Kilbeggan On Instagram (M) H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.D. Torrens, rider of All Walks Of Life, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries on viewing the recording of the race that his mount stumbled after the second last hurdle for no apparent reason.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hide And Seek (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be marginally lame on its right hind having lost that shoe and sustained a slight graze on the back of the tendon and lateral heel bulb.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jane Wilde, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race noraml.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed B.W. Harvey, rider of Mary Cassatt (FR), trained by John C. McConnell, concerning the fact that he stopped riding momentarilty at the fifty yard marker before resuming riding out his mount within a few strides of the finish when finishing third beaten a head by Fruit Blossom, placed second. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, B.W. Harvey stated that his mount was leaning in on Fruit Blossom and made slight contact at the fifty yard marker. He added that he had his whip in his left hand and corrected his mount by using his hands and then resumed riding close to the finish. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards, after much deliberation, gave B.W. Harvey the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action.

R. Deegan, rider of Drumderry Harlem, trained by Mark John Scallan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keen and stopped quickly.

K. Callaghan, rider of Milajess, trained by Michael C.Griffin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up. .

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Drumderry Harlem to race without her declared tongue strap as she was proving difficult to get to the start and had been dismounted by her rider R. Deegan.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sir Jimmy Mac, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame left hind.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.A. Doyle, rider of Sir Jimmy Mac, trained by Mark Fahey, concerning his riding from the final hurdle when his mount appeared to be wrong behind. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had made a mistake at the last two hurdles but on racing away from the final hurdle, he did not feel any abnormality and on pulling up after the winning post, his mount put his head down and went by other finishers. He accepted that the video evidence suggested that his mount was wrong behind but assured the Raceday Stewards that he would have dismounted immediately if he had felt that anything was amiss. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards agreed with the rider's assessment of the situation and noted his explanation.

091D Mullingar H'cap H'dle

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a two minute delay to this race

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Hockworthy Flyer, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen.

Aileen O'Sullivan, rider of Drimsree Lad, trained by S. Michael Millar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung wide turning in.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hockworthy Flyer, trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. T. O'Meara, that H. Morgan, rider of One More Lass, had weighed in at 1.3 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had carried the previously declared 2lbs overweight when weighing out and accepted that he had weighed in at a further 1.3 lbs overweight. He added that he had rehydrated after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that H. Morgan was in breach of Rule 231 (3) by weighing in at more than 1 lb overweight. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards cautioned H. Morgan on this occasion.
