The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. J.J. Clifford rode Thalitleozibatler (AUS), trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 1)
D.J. Hand replaced T. Ryan on Kilgorey, trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy (Race 6)(injured)
B. Browne replaced T. Ryan on Act Of God (GB), trained by E. J. O'Grady (Race 5)(injured)
D. J. McInerney replaced T. Ryan on The West's Awake, trained by E. J. O'Grady (Race 7)(injured)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kells Priory, trained by Louise G. Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Leading Prospect, ridden by Mr J.A. O'Reilly, placed third and Tarqueens Glory, ridden by Mr M.J.M. O'Sullivan, placed first, where it appeared that Leading Prospect had to switch left. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. J.A. O'Reilly stated that his horse jumped right at the last causing him to land on the inside of Tarqueens Glory and had to switch left. Mr. M.J.M. O'Sullivan stated that his horse was on the rail but jumped left at the last and he manoeuvered back towards the running rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were gave Mr. M.J.M. O,Sullivan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and advised him to ride with more awareness in future.

Mr P.A. King, rider of Kells Priory, trained by Louise G. Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled on the ground.

155B Forever Equestrian Clothing Novice H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last involving Face The Odds, ridden by E. Walsh, placed second and Wrong Direction, ridden by D.J. McInerney, placed third, where it appeared Face The Odds made contact with Wrong Direction. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.J. McInerney, stated that his mount did suffer interference, but felt it made no difference to his finishing position. E. Walsh stated that his mount was a big awkward type that lost its action in the closing stages causing interference, but felt that it did not improve his placing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while unintentional interference had occurred it did not necessitate a change to the judges placings and they took no further action.

155C1 Kilbeggan On Facebook Opp. H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Get Phar, trained by Eoin Griffin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a wound on its right fore cannon but to be otherwise post race normal.

At the request of the Stewards, R. Deegan, rider of Get Home, trained by Olivia Hegarty, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount found the ground be too quick.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the last involving Ocean Glandore, ridden by H. Morgan, placed third, Rock Of Tuskar, ridden by J.C. Gainford, placed first and Swiss Brid, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, placed second, where it appeared Ocean Glandore got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H. Morgan stated that his challenge was fading when he got tight for room and had to take a precautionary check but that it had no effect to his finishing place. J.C. Gainford stated that his horse jumped the hurdle on the outside and he was satisfied that, on the run to the line, he left enough room for the horses on his inside. S. Fitzgerald stated that his horse rolled towards the rail and he thought he was clear of Ocean Glandore. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise S. Fitzgerald to ride with more care in future.

155C2 Kilbeggan On Facebook Opp. H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stolen Moment, trained by Sean Aherne, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a wound on its right hind cannon, to be blowing hard post race and to show signs of being in season.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Frankfurter trained by Eoin Griffin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and travelled ok until pulling up.

155E Midlands National July 9 Opp. Beg. S'ch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cerberus (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

155F Galway Races Galway Plate Trial Hcap Sch

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Born By The Sea trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Born By The Sea, trained by Paul John Gilligan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a small superficial wound on its left fore but to be otherwise post race normal.

155G Kilbeggan (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Grain De Folie (FR), ridden by Mr B.W. Harvey, unplaced, Street Fighter, ridden by Miss A. Hourigan, unplaced and Watergrange Jack, ridden by Mr N.J. Redmond, placed sixth, where it appeared Grain De Folie ran short of room on the railing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. B.W. Harvey, stated that his mount suffered interference from his outside and got tight for room on the railing. Mr. N.J. Redmond stated that his mount tightened the horse on his inner when a rider in difficulty in front of him turned sideways. Miss A. Hourigan stated that her mount got very excited at the start and that she did her best to keep it under control. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by Street Fighter being unruly at the start and no further action and that no further action was warranted. Mr. Justice R. Groarke, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.
