The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Daisy Dufresne, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards received a report from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. Derek Cullen, that Mr. M.C. O'Donovan, rider of Allbetsoff did not obey his instructions resulting in a false start of this race. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Mr. Derek Cullen stated that he had no choice but to call a false start once Allbesoff broke into a canter ahead of the others. Mr. M.C. O'Donovan accepted he put his mount into a canter before being instructed to do so by the starter. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. M.C. O'Donovan was in breach of Rule 208 and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Daisy Dufresne trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't jump great and stopped quickly.

115C Irish Farmers Journal M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Baby Zeus, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Mr. Andrew Tyrell, regarding the identification of Grove Island, trained by J. P. Broderick. Mr. Andrew Tyrell reported that the horse presented for identification was not Grove Island but was in fact a horse called Plinth as confirmed by the microchip reader. Evidence was heard from Brian Loughnane, Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned, who accepted that it was the incorrect horse and apologised. He added they should have checked it was the correct horse when came to their yard from Martinstown Stud. He further added that it arrived approximately two months ago and had been in the yard since. He also confirmed that Plinth is not registered as being in their yard. Having considered the report and the evidence, the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 90(iv), ordered the withdrawal of Grove Island and referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

At the request of the Stewards, Mr J.P. Kirwan, rider of Chinook (GB), trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a gasp with a circuit to go, made numerous jumping errors and just stayed on past tiring horses.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that The Hogan Stand (FR) trained by John Joseph Hanlon had blood at both nostrils post race.

D. Meyler, rider of Aeroplane Peggy trained by Kieran Purcell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

115E Follow Kilbeggan On Twitter Beg. S'chase

E. Walsh, rider of Basil's Boy trained by Liam P Cusack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

P.K. Donovan, rider of Ferdia trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference with a circuit to go. The Stewards subsequently reviewed the video footage and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed K.M. Donoghue, rider of Ujumpthelastuwin (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, concerning his riding from the last fence to the line where it appeared he stopped riding for sixth place. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his horse had jumped violently left at the last fence, was very tired and could not have gone any quicker if he had been harder on him. He further added that his mount walked past the line. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

115F Lord Lariat Parading H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Quantum Realm, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kalkas (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident on the approach to the last fence involving Railway Hurricane, ridden by K.M. Donoghue and Jack Hackett, ridden by M.M. McDonagh, where it appeared Railway Hurricane went left and may have taken the ground of Jack Hackett. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

115G Racing Again June 5 (P-Am) INH Flat Race

Mr C.P. Millar, rider of John McClane trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped heels down the back straight on the first circuit.
