The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) is the Regulatory Body for horseracing in Ireland. The IHRB is responsible for the integrity and reputation of Irish horseracing. It is also responsible for the licensing of all participants in Irish racing.
We now have an immediate need for an IT Helpdesk Administrator / Customer Services Representative for a 6-month fixed term contract. This position will be the first point of contact, from a support aspect, on a wide and varied range of upcoming product deployments.
The role will involve assisting industry participants, end-users and IHRB staff with the on-boarding aspects of a suite of projects including software deployment, security product implementations and rollout of a HR, Rostering and Expense Management Solution. This is a great opportunity and an exciting time to join a dynamic IT Department in delivering high-end solutions with the goal of improving the integrity of horse racing in Ireland at the forefront of all projects.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Use/management of an ITIL based helpdesk
  • Provide first-line support to a wide range of applications, systems and infrastructure within the organisation
  • User Support, Applications & Helpdesk
  • Provide 1st line production support for business applications
  • Analysing problems, including root cause analysis
  • Defining possible solutions/rectification
  • Liaising and troubleshooting issues with senior members of IT Department.
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties
  • Good Active Directory Skills
  • Experience supporting Windows 7 & 10 desktops along with Office365
  • Strong MS Outlook skills
  • Knowledge working with Apps on both iOS and Android operating systems
  • Experience with Databases (MySQL) and DB Management Tools (phpMyAdmin)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, verbal and written communication skills
  • Good customer service with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritise tasks coordinating the workload amongst other members of the team

 

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
