150B Sonix Entertainment H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Spanish Tenor, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Adrian McGuinness stated that his charge prefers going one bend and the return to a course around a bend coupled with an uncontested lead had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

150C Good Enuf To Eat Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards interviewed D.N. Curran, rider of Never Back Down, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that D. N. Curran was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered D. N. Curran's record in this regard the Stewards suspended D. N. Curran for five racedays.

J.A. Powell, rider of Benkogambit trained by Martin Brassil, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.
