At the request of the Stewards, P.T. Enright, rider of Rare Deal, trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out all the way, made a mistake at the third last and stayed on onepaced thereafter.

D. Meyler, rider of Elegant Lass trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D, Meyler was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended for 6 racedays under the provisions of Regulation 10.6(a)(fourth offence).
The Stewards interviewed B. Browne, rider of Unexpected Depth, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that B. Browne was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.
279G ISF EBF Mucklemeg (Mares) INH Flat RaceThe Stewards interviewed Mr S. Cavanagh, rider of Jelona, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency) and Regulation 10.3(i) (time to respond). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr. S. Cavanagh for 3 racedays. Mr. John Osborne, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry.
