The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Canford Light, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a small cut on his right fore fetlock, otherwise was post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Overheer (GB), ridden by O.J. Orr, placed second and Bell Ex One, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed first, where it appeared that there was contact on a few occasions. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. O.J. Orr stated that Bell Ex One had come to bump his mount on three occasions inside the final furlong. A.J. Slattery stated that his mount idled in front and made contact with Overheer whom he felt had come over to meet his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action. Mr. N.P. Lambert, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry and Mr. M.C. Hickey acted as Chairman. .

The Stewards interviewed O.J. Orr, rider of Overheer (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. O.J. Orr stated that his mount hit the front a long way from the finish and he lost count while riding a tightly contested finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that O.J. Orr was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended O.J. Orr for 1 raceday. Mr. N.P. Lambert, Acting Steward, did not attend this enquiry and Mr. M.C. Hickey acted as Chairman.
