016A Langtons Kilkenny H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Listenheretomejack, trained by Eoin Doyle, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Truant, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be suffering from delayed recovery post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Champagne Mahler, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Henry De Bromhead stated that he felt Champagne Mahler failed to stay the trip of 2m 4f at Cork last time and the drop in trip contributed to the apparent improvement today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

016B RED MILLS EBF Ladies Auction M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of La Vega Moon and Getaway Erin, for an additional ten minutes to present both animals for identification by an IHRB Official, as provided for under the provisions of Rule 90(i).

016C John Mulhern Galmoy H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Thedevilscoachman, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be suffering from delayed recovery and had a small skin wound on his left fore pastern.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the approach to the final hurdle involving Monkfish, ridden by P. Townend, Summerville Boy, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and Thedevilscoachman, ridden by M.P. Walsh and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

016D Goffs Thyestes H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ain't That A Shame, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Henry De Bromhead stated that he was unable to offer any explanation for his previous run. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Rachael Blackmore, rider of Ain't That A Shame, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Rachael Blackmore accepted she appeared to be in breach of the regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Rachael Blackmore in breach of R.10.3(g)(excessive frequency)and in considering her record in this regard they suspended her for three racedays.

M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Espanito Bello (FR), trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he got unseated at the final fence when he thought he was in with a chance of finishing in sixth place.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Espanito Bello, who appeared to have little momentum on the approach to the last fence, jumped it slowly, stumbled on landing and unseated the rider. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that his mount appeared to be tiring, but felt it was an experienced handicapper with enough in reserve to jump the last safely. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.J.M. O'Sullivan was in breach of Rule 216(ii)(b) and having taken his clean record in this regard into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for five racedays.

016E Daly Farrell Accountants Beg. S'chase

S.D. Torrens, rider of Jimmy Chou Pecos Aa (FR), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

016G P.J. Foley Memorial INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Harry's Dream, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Miss P. Elvin accepted she appeared to be in breach of the regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Miss P. Elvin was in breach of R.10.3(g)(excessive frequency) and in considering her record in this regard they suspended her for eight racdays.
