165D Societies Welcome At Gowran Park H'capK.G. Kennedy, rider of Randall Poets Lass, trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the straight.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Stormie Outlook, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position as a corrective measure to keep his mount straight. Having reviewed the riders whip use the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
165E Ladies Day July 27th Apprentice H'capH.J. Horgan, rider of Puturhandstogether, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried wide before turning in.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of La Juliana, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined La Juliana, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
165F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnW.J. Lee, rider of Thalara, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled right under pressure.
S. Foley, rider of Betula (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned a little left under pressure.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Thalara, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, Betula (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed third, and Daboya, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated his mount rolled to the right when under pressure. S. Foley stated his mount leaned left under pressure. L.F. Roche stated his filly leaned left and he had to take a slight check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise W.J. Lee to correct his mount more promptly in future.
165G Thomastown RaceW. Joyce, rider of Sea Of Moyle, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action and didn't handle the ground.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sea Of Moyle, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
