The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Royal Aide (Off-Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. F. Carroll replaced S. Foley on Future Gold, trained by Thomas Mullins (Race 7)(injured).
R. P. Whelan rode Shamiyan (reserve), trained by M.Halford (Race 7).
J. A. Heffernan replaced W.M. Lordan on Greek Gladiator, trained by A.P.O'Brien (Race 1)(Stewards permission)
L. T. McAteer rode Villa Maria (GB) (reserve), trained by S. Donohoe (Race 5).
C. T. Keane rode Eclector (GB) (reserve), trained by G.M.Lyons (Race 4).

292B Thomastown (Fillies) Median Auction M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Curious Bride, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced and Princess Grace, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, where it appeared that Curious Bride crossed onto the racing line of Princess Grace causing G. F. Carroll to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered and took no further action.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Frosty Beach trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Muntahez trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly into his stride and never travelled.

292D Gowran Park Racing Club Nursery H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Sweet Justice trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got worked up in the stalls.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The King Of Kells, trained by Michael Mulvany, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Waterville Lady trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving the gates and he sustained a blow to the face.

James J. Doyle, rider of Conversant, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran too keen.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Thefaithfulindian, trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed D.A. McCormack, rider of Scorpion Black, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D. A. McCormack in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), frequency, and having considered D. A. McCormack's record in this regard the stewards suspended D. A. McCormack for two racedays.

292F Racing Again November 23rd M'dn

Vanessa Maye, rider of Double Jemmy, trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount clipped heels and she was unseated.

Following a course inspection this morning by the clerk of the course and in consultation with the racecourse manager and the Chairman of the Stewards, the decision was made to not start this race from stalls owing to the ground conditions.
