The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.N. Curran replaced D.M. Simmonson on Firlinfeu (GB), trained by John James Feane (Race 1)(Unwell)
G.M. Ryan rode Reverberation (GB) (reserve) , trained by J.J.Lambe (Race 7)
J.A. Heffernan rode Ojinjintka (FR) (reserve) , trained by H.Rogers (Race 7)

221A Community Day September 21 Claiming Race

S. Foley, rider of Eastern Racer trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

221D McEnery Cup H'cap

A.C. Persse, rider of Contrapposto trained by Mrs.A.M.O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the straight.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Manning, rider of Trossachs (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 2 race days.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magnetic North, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, at the request of the Stewards and reported that this gelding had a fresh skin wound on the outside of his right fore cannon but was otherwise post race normal.

221E Ir.Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stks

D. O'Brien, rider of Goddess (USA) trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Tipitena (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second and Goddess (USA), ridden by D. O'Brien, placed first, where it appeared Tipitena (GB) checked close to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

B.A.Murphy, trainer of Annie Fior, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge showed signs of being in season post race.

221F Irish EBF Supporting ICW M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Timemakesitfine trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled on the ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Timemakesitfine, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards informed Garry Caldwell, trainer that Footstepsintime, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of No Way Jack, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 2 race days.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Delegating (GB) trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.

The Stewards requested a report from T.G.McCourt, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Highway To Heaven, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this filly appreciated today's ease in the going. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
