The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Black Cat Bobby (GB), trained by Ciaran Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving San Andreas, ridden by H.J. Horgan, unplaced, Whatharm, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed fifth and Black Cat Bobby (GB), ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, where it appeared Whatharm may have caused interference when manoeuvering outwards to make a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence H.J. Horgan stated that his run had levelled out when Whatharm cut across his mount and he had to take back. R.P. Cleary stated that his run had levelled out when Whatharm came out towards his own mount and he checked when contact was made. C.P. Hoban stated that he was travelling well and was on the heels of Royal Canford when he edged outwards but his mount over reacted to his urgings. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C.P. Hoban had caused the incident by riding carelessly. Having taken his good record into consideration and furthermore that there were mitigating circumstances, the Stewards suspended C.P. Hoban for one raceday.
