The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Damian Joseph English, trainer of See Of Rome (GB) (Off feed) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Top Moon (FR) (Going) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Top Moon (FR) (Late withdrawal 1.03 p.m.) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.P. Hoban rode Foreign Legion (reserve) , trained by J.Larkin (Race 6)

208A O'Leary Insurances M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the penultimate hurdle involving Born By The Sea, ridden by L.P. Gilligan, placed third, Jon Ess, ridden by R.A. Doyle, placed fourth, Mr Everest, ridden by D.N. Russell, placed first, Brawler, ridden by D.G. Hogan, unplaced, Botani, ridden by D.J. Mullins, placed seventh and Estelle Ma Belle (FR), ridden by P. Townend, placed second, where it appeared that Born To Sea was checked when running short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.

P. Townend, rider of Estelle Ma Belle (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left from the outset and progressively got worse as the race continued.

208B Galway Shopping Centre H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eclat Des Mottes (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have evidence of kickback on his face and nostrils post race.

208D Galway Shopping Centre M'dn

The Stewards fined F.Birrane, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to King Citric (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

The Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Rockview Roman, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Siobhan Rutledge was in breach of R10(3)(b) by hitting her mount unnecessarily after its chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Siobhan Rutledge on this occasion.

208E GalwayShoppingCentre Irish EBF Nurs. Hcp

D. O'Brien, rider of Royal County Down trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green in front.

208G McDonogh Capital Investments H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of High Street Lady trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered on the turn into the straight.

D. O'Brien, rider of King Pellinor trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run during this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the uphill run approaching the straight involving One Cool Poet, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, Eadbhard, ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced, High Street Lady, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced and Navajo Ridge, ridden by James J. Doyle, placed fourth, where it appeared that High Street Lady met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and they took no further action.

208H Galway Centre Irish EBF INH(M) Flat Race

The Stewards fined Mrs D.A.Love, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Enchanted Promise, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Enchanted Promise in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the dip about three furlongs from the finish involving Fur Elise, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh, unplaced, Well Polly, ridden by Mr W.T. Cronin, unplaced and Karla Martina, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, unplaced, where it appeared that Karla Martina met with interference when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by Mr S. Cavanagh riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr S. Cavanagh on this occasion.
