The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Faire Croire (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G.P. Halpin rode Facethepuckout (reserve) , trained by M.D. O'Callaghan (Race 5)

173C COLM QUINN BMW Irish EBF Corrib (F) Stks

O.J. Orr, rider of Titanium Sky trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount fly leapt on leaving stalls losing all chance.

S. Foley, rider of Celestial Object trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Celestial Object, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a graze to its right foreleg but was otherwise post race normal.

173E COLM QUINN BMW Mile H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Saltonstall (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse ran well to finish fourth in the Irish Lincoln on his penultimate start but the last day at Navan they crawled early on and his charge never got into the race. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.

173F1 Caulfield Industrial H'cap

R. Coakley, rider of Emphatic trained by J.Larkin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no luck in running.

The Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Darkened, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 2 race days.

173F2 Caulfield Industrial H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Loaded, placed second, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that following his run at Leopardstown the rider advised him to apply a visor next time which may have brought about today's apparent improvement. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

173G The Latin Quarter H'cap

L.F. Roche, rider of Walking On Glass trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Stewards requested a report from Padraig Roche, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Walking On Glass, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that he felt they went very fast at the Curragh last time with the result that his charge didn't get home. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Turnpike Trip (GB), trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
