The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.J. O'Keeffe replaced D.J. McInerney on Damut, trained by Michael Winters (Race 3)(Stewards permission)
Mr P.W. Mullins replaced Mr D. O'Connor on Hill Of Truth, trained by C.Byrnes (Race 7)(Injured)

305A The Front Door (Mares) M'dn H'dle

M.J. Bolger, rider of Kilshanvey Lady trained by Gerard Michael Hussey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.

305B Derrygimlagh Bog Irish EBF Beg S'chase

The Stewards interviewed L.P. Gilligan, rider of Glamorgan Duke, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended L.P. Gilligan for 1 raceday.

305C Marlin Hotel Dublin H'cap S'chase

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that D.J. McInerney, nominated rider of Damut, had presented himself at scales at 2lbs overweight while weighing out. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was at Cheltenham yesterday and was unable to lose any weight today. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.J. McInerney was in breach of Rule 198 (vii) by weighing out with overweight of 2lbs which had not been declared under Rule 195 (i). Having considered his previous record, the Stewards fined D.J. McInerney €150. The Stewards granted permission to the trainer to substitute D.J. McInerney with D.J. O'Keeffe.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Damut, trained by Michael Winters, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Damut trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got very tired after jumping the final fence.

305D Glenman Corporation H'cap S'chase

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Turndownthevolume, trained by Roy W. Tector, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

The Stewards interviewed L. Quinlan, rider of Daisy Chicks, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L. Quinlan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6), the Stewards suspended L. Quinlan for 6 racedays.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Our Bonus trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

Owing to the low lying elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for fence #5 to be omitted from this race

305E Annesley Williams Rated Novice H'dle

Owing to the low lying elevation of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles # 3,4 & 5 to be omitted from this race.
