The Stewards received a report from Mr. P. L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that R.P. Whelan , rider of Alatar, weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Whelan was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion.
263C James P. Cunningham Electrical H'capC.D. Hayes, rider of We'll Go Again trained by Madeleine Tylicki, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Dont Quit trained by J.T.Gorman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked turning in.
The Stewards fined C.Byrnes, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of War Anthem, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of War Anthem in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
263F Galway Apprentice H'capThe Stewards received a report from Mr. P. L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.P. Shinnick, rider of El Tren, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J. P. Shinnick was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record they cautioned him on this occasion. J. P. Shinnick was accompanied by Ms. Shiela Lavery at this enquiry.
The Stewards informed Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, trainer of Monaco Rose (GB), that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who ran off the track early in the race, may render the animal liable for suspension.
263G Sean Cleary Memorial (Fillies) M'dnThe Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Star Company, trained by A. Oliver, as the passport failed to comply with the provisions of Rule 90(vii).
